Stylish = holes in your jeans??
Just as a precursor, I'm completely not a fashion type person. Maybe I'm missing something important in what's considered "stylish" or "fashionable." I'm just stating what I think.
I don't understand why it's "cool" (I still don't quite get what that exactly means) to have jeans that are torn up, bleached, burned, and/or filled with holes. And on top of that it actually costs more to buy jeans that look like that. Why don't you go to Wal-Mart and buy some cheap jeans and just use them so they can look beat up? Or, you could just rip them up yourself. But why? Why does it look better? It looks so ragged. Sometimes I go for that rugged look in guys, but I've seen some jeans that are over the top. That doesn't attract me to them at all. In fact it accomplishes just the opposite, I find them somewhat repulsive! Not only because their jeans look like they've been dragged from a car across the United States, but they gave into what society thinks looks "cool." I lose some respect for them.
Now, apart from what I think it looks like, I can't imagine how uncomfortable it is. I could see that jeans that are worn in are more comfortable in that sense, but I feel weird wearing jeans that have holes in them. When the wind blows, you can feel it in some different places. Oh, and if you happen to be a guy, it exposes to the world what pair of boxers (or briefs, if that's what you prefer) you decided to wear that day. Not only do I not care to look at other people's undergarments, it shows me that you don't have respect for yourself. Why would you want to show other people your boxers, anyway? Okay, I'm not that stupid. I mean, if you wanted to attract people to you, then it seems that you would attract the best people from them just liking your beaming personality, or something. Or is that too old fashioned? If you want a boyfriend/girlfriend that will stay with you for more than a month or so, I'd suggest using another tactic to attract them to you. Showing off your underwear before you even know their name probably isn't the way to go.
Now, let me have a small disclaimer. I don't mind having little holes here and there. Though, I don't understand it, it doesn't expose yourself so I don't lose any respect for you. Hmm, I seem to have gone off on a small tangent. To sum it all up, having beat up jeans looks sloppy, attracts the wrong people, and causes me to lose respect for you.
