When something itches, scratch it. But I can't tell you how many times I hear someone say that they itch something. Even though the stupid dictionary says that it can be used as a verb, I disagree. Why use the same word twice in a sentence as a noun and a verb? It just sounds stupid, I think. It makes the person sound like a hick from the country who doesn't know what their talking about. Well, maybe not to that extreme since it seems as though nobody notices whenever someone says that they have to itch an itch...but at least to me I automatically lose a little bit of respect for that person. Or I quickly correct them and hope that they never do it again.
I guess this didn't turn into that long of a rant, but it sure felt good to get out! :)
