10.6 - Harvest
So Clark and Lois decided to have sex. I should be excited about it, which I guess I am since that just means they are that much closer to each other, but I'm also a bit disappointed that they didn't wait. But, how could I have expected anything different? If he had sex with Lana, why would he want to wait for Lois? Oh well. The beginning of this episode is EXACTLY what I've been wanting to see for a while! If only it could have lasted a little longer. There have been so many weird things that happen to the people around Clark that don't know his secret that really don't have a good explanation, and when they finally find out Clark's secret they really deserve to be told the truth about all those weird things. I guess we can assume that earlier in the drive she asked about some other instances as well. I just hope we get to see more and more of those scenes. They make me really happy.
Speaking of that drive, where the heck did this red convertible come from? I'm pretty sure neither Clark nor Lois own a red convertible. Why didn't they take Clark's truck or whatever Lois drives? I don't know. It did look pretty cool, though. It made me so happy when they got flat tires and Lois giddily watched Clark lift up the car all by himself and change the tire. That would be pretty fun to see him flaunt his abilities in front of you. Though, after he realized that Lois disappeared, he told the policeman that he and Lois had a fight. A fight about what? Him overprotecting her? Him not letting her cover this hero bashing thing? They didn't seem to be that mad at each other. Well, they obviously got over the "fight" by the end of the episode when Clark saved her life and got her in bed with him. Aww... I do wish they start the next episode with them waking up in bed next to each other gazing into each other's eyes. You know, like Lana and Clark did in Hidden. That was sweet, though it'll be that much sweeter with him and Lois since they are so much more mature now and Clark and Lois just look that much better together. Yes, it's true. Anyone out there still rooting for Clana needs to give it up.
Please don't tell me that this little Lex is going to become the Lex that Clark has to destroy. If he's just going to die in 6 weeks anyway (unless he somehow gets the cure... which I hope he doesn't) then it doesn't seem like there's anything to worry about. At least, it's not the Lex that Clark has to overcome. Not to mention one of the times that Clark saw the future the newspaper said that Lex (with a picture of Michael Rosenbaum) was running for president. No, this little Lex is just a silly distraction. It is a little weird that he has all of Lex's memories. I'll try to ignore the fact that that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. How could a clone keep memories? It's just a clone. Same DNA, and that's it. But, whatever. I'm ignoring it. Maybe by next episode he'll look like normal Lex! One can hope. Though, has he always had these memories? He remembered Clark and Tess as the small child but he still told Tess he loved her? Was he really evil enough to lead her on into thinking he cared for her only to betray her? No, I think he just reached the age/maturity where he wanted to become evil. How sad. I think the whole loving thing would have worked for Tess except that Lex was already ruined by still having the memories of his real childhood. How depressing. I still don't believe that Lex is beyond saving. Perhaps I'm just as naive as Clark. Though, why did Lex decided to shave his head? He just wanted to look like the Lex he was before? It seems like he'd want hair now that he isn't forced to be bald. If he really wants to be bald, he'll have to keep shaving it everyday, and that sounds like a huge pain. But, whatever he wants, I suppose.
It's a little unnerving to think that there's a community out there of people filled with blue kryptonite, and now they know Clark's secret. I mean, people probably think they are just crazy or something, but I don't think it was the smartest thing for Clark to show off his superspeed to those people. I think we might see them later in the season. Or, maybe not. I think there are too many other storylines that Smallville has started that they need to finish by the end of the season. I'd be happy not to see these crazy Amish-type folk again. It was sweet to see Clark run up and take that fire for Lois. Aww... he was in so much pain for her. Granted, he could probably feel pretty confident that he would heal later and be just fine. But still, that was really brave of him.
So, Clark told Lois that she is the one and always will be. Their relationship has sure progressed fast in the past couple of episodes. He went from being super depressed and them not evening officially dating, to them telling each other "I love you," to Clark telling Lois his secret, and now to having sex. I think at this rate he'll propose next episode. And then they'll be married probably in the episode or two after that. I'd be okay with that. Actually, I think they should be engaged a little longer than that. And they should both be able to talk to Chloe at some point. I miss her.
Speaking of Chloe, I finally watched the opening credits. There's nobody there! It's just Clark, Lois, Tess, and Oliver! FOUR PEOPLE! That's ridiculous. I mean, how many major characters have we lost? The only person left from the first season is Clark! Oh well... at least it didn't give away who the main villain of the season is going to be and there is officially no Chloe in it. Though, I kind of expected it since we haven't seen her since the first episode... :( I hope we see her back because it's driving me crazy. I would say I'm surprised that Clark and Lois aren't missing Chloe more, but I have to admit that when you are swept up in love you don't really care about much else... no matter how important it is to you.
So, Lois apparently knows about Clark's superspeed, super breath, heat vision, and super strength. Did we miss a scene of him showing off his abilities to her? Does she know about his x-ray vision? I just remember from Infamous when she covered herself when he said he had x-ray vision. Aww... how cute. Though, now that they have had sex I don't think she'd mind too much anymore.
Is Lois really starting to think that in the near future Clark should show himself to the world? What happened to that being a "terrible idea?" Hm. I guess if they really want to head towards the Superman story we know, the world knows Superman's face. But, it can't work the same way it has in the Superman story we know because too many people know Clark's face without glasses. How could that ever work on Smallville? It's perfect with him being the Blur. They still know he exists without anyone knowing his face or identity.
The rest of the episodes have so much Cloisness in store! It's going to be so great! On I go to the next episode!
