8.17 - Hex
What a fun episode! It's always great when there's magic involved in Smallville. Especially since I miss Lois so much, and this episode was full of her! Even if it was Chloe really being Lois, it was still filled with Cloisness all over the place! Such good times! The whole Chloe/Jimmy situation isn't too thrilling, and we didn't see how Jimmy is doing all drugged up... but I'm sure we'll get there eventually. I'll trade that for Clois. :) Let's go!
I loved that Clark gave Chloe that book, "Tales of the Weird and Unexplained." Awww... we got to reflect back on their glory days. Was Clark really doing a job for Ollie with Bart instead of going to Chloe's birthday party? I think he was, but I think he still could've made an appearance. He did have time to talk with Lois (!!), but didn't make the time to call Chloe to wish her a happy birthday? Lame, Clark! LAME! At least he made up for it at the end by buying her breakfast or whatnot. Nothing can break up their friendship.
It's about time we see Chloe get jealous of Lois and her seemingly perfect life with Clark. We all saw Chloe eventually living that life. Some people even thought that she really was Lois Lane and changed her name or something. No, she doesn't end up doing journalism. Something burnt out her flame... I guess her becoming a meteor "freak" and becoming friends with Clark and knowing his secret kind of dimmed her will to research everything. She's got to protect Clark and everything. That's just something else to add to the list of things that Clark can feel guilty about. :P At least she's now officially in the Justice League. Wow! Watchtower! That's good times. It'd be even better/convenient if she still had the Brainiac powers, but we all know that she was amazing with computers and such even before that. I wonder if we'll ever see the other Justice League folks again. Namely, Bart. We all love Bart. I'd love to see him come back. Though, I'd take more Lois in exchange any day. :P It's true!
Man, I loved seeing Clark loving his work with Lois. It couldn't have been more obvious that he has a thing for Lois, especially at the end when he couldn't hide his jealousy of Lois going on a date. He immediately asks to see if he should call her if anything comes up so they can work on it together. How cute, Clark! I'm not too thrilled that they decided that the "friends" business is for the best, but I'll get over it. We all know that's not true, anyway. They'll be making out by the end of the season, I'm thinking. Hopefully Lois will know Clark's secret by then, too. One can only hope! I kind of wish we could see Lois's greatest wish come true, too. What would it be? Her and Clark finally hooking up? I half-expected that to happen when she granted Clark's wish. Man... I'd love it. Clark could definitely not deny his feelings for her then. Though, I don't think that's an issue now, anyway. He went in for a kiss back in Bride, for goodness sake! Not to mention his framing the list of Lois rules. Man, that was freakin' sweet! Awww, way to go Clark. What's even better is that he didn't do that in his wish influence... he did that all by himself, and memorized them all. That was basically awesome.
It was pretty much awesome when "Lois" tripped and Clark caught her, and he asked "Lois" what the look was for, and "Lois's" response was, "You've just never looked at me like that before." What? NEVER??? Could it possibly be because Clark freakin' loves Lois?? I'm telling you, I have this all figured out. :P Oh, that reminds me. I loved it when Clark finally figures out that it's Chloe and not Lois. He's all trying to act like he doesn't have super powers. "We didn't even take the truck..." Chloe did a pretty good job convincing Clark. "Jor-El, fortress, Brainic Chloe!" "...Chloe!!" Way to go, Clark. I love it when he states the obvious. At least Chloe could really tell what he had with Lois. "Considering the constant puppy eyes you give her..." Haha, Clark! Puppy eyes! It's true, he acts differently with Lois than Chloe. He is just afraid of the same thing happening with Lois that happened with Lana. Geesh, Clark. Lois is not Lana... go for it! :)
Seeing Clark not realize that he had powers was pretty much amazing. My favorite part had to be when he was on the roof dismissing everything "Lois" was trying to show him. "What I believe is that this door needs better maitenance. Look at the rust in here!" That, and when he put his hands up when "Lois" was going to hit him with the pole. I love it all. He did mention flying, wish he did it, but I'll get it over it. We all know that it's coming eventually. Just when is up in the air.
Alright, I think that's enough. I realize these are getting shorter and shorter, but maybe that's a good thing. Not quite as intimidating. :) On to the next episode!
